Pefkos (or Pefki) is neighbour to Lindos (4km distance) and this is one of the factors that contributed to its popularity.

Brief history

Pefkos is named after the Greek word for the pine trees that surround the village. It used to be a fishing village that locals and travellers used as a stop, when returning home on foot was impossible, due to heat or sunset.

Pefkos is a rather laid-back destination, picturesque, quiet and hospitable, suitable for families and couples. There is a Blue Flag beach, the Lee beach. Pefkos also offers a wide selection of activities and services like shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
