Overview
Astronomy Cafe is a building complex situated on Faliraki that features a cafe with a garden, an observatory and apartments.
The garden is astronomy themed and has many exhibits that a guest can see like a solar clock, a sculpture of Atlas, stone plaques filled with information about stars or historical facts and other astronomical artefacts.
The "Hipparchos" Οbservatory is equipped with a telescope and instruments that enable the experience of observational Astronomy. The moon, planets, nebulae and galaxies are some of the astronomical objects that can be observed. A guest can also observe uranography and find out how a live sundial works or see a static geographical compass orientation.
Astronomy Cafe is suitable for stargazers and astronomy hobbyists but also for everyone seeking an unusual and educational experience. The cafe serves a variety of drinks and snacks, with a hill top view.
